Rear Door Removal/Installation

1999 Mazda 626 ES, 2.5 D, StandardSECTION Rear Door Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the seat belt rail. (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. To remove the checker, remove the following parts:
    1. Rear door lower trim (See REAR DOOR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. To remove the rear door hinge, remove the following parts:
    1. Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Adjust the rear door. (See DOOR ADJUSTMENTΒ .)
