1999 Mazda 626 ES, 2.5 D, StandardSECTION Retrieving Codes

Fault codes are retrieved from EEC-V system through Data Link Connector (DLC), located below instrument panel, left of steering wheel. See Fig 1. Self-diagnostic test procedures are for use with New Generation Star (NGS) scan tool. If a generic scan tool is used, ensure scan tool is certified to OBD-II standard.
