PID/Data Monitor Procedure

1999 Mazda 626 ES, 2.5 D, StandardSECTION PID/Data Monitor Procedure

This function allows access to certain data values, input signals, calculated values and system status information. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Ensure test equipment is properly attached. Program scan tool using the following steps:

  • Select VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION menu.
  • Select NEW VEHICLE, YEAR & MODEL.
  • Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
  • Select PCM-POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE.
  • Select PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD.
  • Turn ignition switch to ON position or start engine and allow to idle.
  • Follow operating instructions from scan tool menu.
  • Select appropriate PIDs and press START to begin monitoring.
