Clutch Master Cylinder: Disassembly

1995 Mazda 626 LX, 2.5 D, StandardSECTION Disassembly
  1. Remove clutch master cylinder. See CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDERΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove clutch master cylinder-to-brake master cylinder flexible hose. Press piston inward. Remove snap ring carefully, without scratching cylinder bore. See Figure .
  2. Remove piston and secondary cup by placing shop rag over piston and lightly applying air pressure to fluid line fitting. Remove primary cup and return spring. Remove elbow joint and bushing. See Figure .
