- For 2WD and 4WD models, if problem occurred in 2WD mode, go to next step. For 4WD models, if problem occurred in 4WD mode, go to step 3).
- Disconnect ABS control unit harness connector to deactivate ABS. Drive vehicle in 2WD mode. Make normal stops in a safe area to determine condition of rear brake system. If rear brakes grab or tend to lock-up easily, repair brake system and retest. If rear brakes function okay in normal braking, replace hydraulic unit.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect ABS control unit harness connector. On B2200 turn Remote Free-Wheel (RFW) switch on. Check continuity between ABS control unit harness connector terminal "H" and chassis ground. See Figure .
- On MPV, turn Automatic Free-Wheel (AFW) switch on. Check continuity between ABS control unit harness connector terminal "H" and chassis ground. See Figure .
- On all models, if continuity exists, remote free-wheel switch or automatic free-wheel switch is okay. If continuity does not exist, repair remote free-wheel switch or automatic free-wheel switch.
