Steering Linkage: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheel assemblies. Using Puller (49-0118-850C), separate pitman arm from center link. See Figure. Remove pitman arm from steering gear using Puller (49-0223-695E). Using Puller (49-0118-850C), separate idler arm from center link. Remove idler arm bracket nuts and bolts. Remove idler arm from frame.
- Using Puller (49-0118-850C), separate tie rod ends from steering knuckles and center link. Loosen tie rod lock nuts and remove tie rod from tie rod ends.
