- Make sure fast idle cam has released throttle lever. See Figure . Disconnect ISC valve electrical connector. Connect ohmmeter to ISC valve 2-wire connector. See Figure . Measure resistance. Resistance should be 10.7-12.3 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not within specification, replace ISC valve.
- With engine idling at operating temperature, disconnect ISC valve electrical connector. Engine speed should increase to 1000-1500 RPM. If engine speed does not increase, replace ISC valve.
