  1. Connect voltmeter between PCMT terminal 1M and ground.
  2. Turn ignition on, remove speedometer cable from transmission and turn speedometer cable one turn. There should be about 7 volts, indicated 4 times in one revolution. See appropriate control unit connector in CONTROL UNIT CONNECTORS & TERMINAL VOLTAGEΒ  CHARTS.
