1991 Mazda 929 BaseSECTION Power Transistor
  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between power transistor terminals. See Fig 1 . Continuity should exist when negative lead is connected to terminal "a" and positive terminal is connected to either terminal "b" or "c". If continuity does not exist, replace power transistor.

  2. No continuity should exist when positive lead is connected to terminal "a" and negative lead is connected to either terminal "b" or "c". If continuity exists, replace power transistor.
