Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments
1991 Mazda 323 L4-1600 1597ccSECTION Adjustments
Inhibitor Switch Adjustment:
1. Turn manual shaft to "N" position.
2. Loosen switch mounting bolts.
3. Align holes of inhibitor switch and manual shaft lever by inserting a pin of approximately 2.0 mm (0.079 in) OD.
4. Torque mounting bolts to 8 - 11 Nm (69 - 95 inlb).
5. Recheck continuity across connector terminals. Refer to COMPONENT TESTING. If not correct, replace switch.
6. Install selector lever and torque to 44 - 64 Nm (33 - 47 ftlb).
