Switch No. 2 (Protege With A/T)
1991 Mazda 323 Base, StandardSECTION Switch No. 2 (Protege With A/T)
- Turn ignition off. Connect manifold pressure gauges to system. Ensure high-side pressure is less than 171 psi (12 kg/cm2 ). Disconnect electrical connector from pressure switch No. 2. Check continuity between switch terminals. If there is continuity, replace pressure switch No. 2.
- If there is no continuity, disconnect condenser fan connector. Operate engine at 2000 RPM. Turn on A/C with temperature lever set at coldest position. Turn on blower switch. When high-side pressure exceeds 214-242 psi (15-17 kg/cm2 ), check continuity of pressure switch No. 2. If there is continuity, pressure switch No. 2 is okay. If there is no continuity, replace pressure switch No. 2.
