1988 Mazda B2200 SE-5, 2D Pickup, AutomaticSECTION Coolant Temperature Sensor

Warm engine to normal operating temperature and run engine at idle. Turn ignition on. Check for 5 volts between sensor terminal and ground. If voltage is not as specified, check wiring harness for open or short circuit, and check resistance using COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE table.
