Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The DSM and the BCM communicate using the MS-CAN.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| U0140 | Lost Communication With Body Control Module (GEM) | Set by the DSM whenever it has lost communication to the BCM for 15 seconds or longer as long as the module voltage is between 10 and 15 volts. |
