Cruise Control Module (CCM): Removal

2016 Lincoln MKZ Base, 2.0L Eng VIN 9, AWDSECTION Removal

  1. 1.

    WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this service information, refer to Safety Warnings in GENERAL INFORMATION (EXCEPT HYBRID) . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

  1. 2.

    Remove the front bumper cover. REFER to: Front Bumper Cover .

  1. 3.

    Remove the active grille shutter. REFER to: Active Grille Shutter .

  1. 4.

    Release the CCM grommets from the ball studs and remove the CCM.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

  1. 5.

    Remove the CCM bracket bolts.

    Torque

    : 20 lb.ft (27 Nm)

  1. 6.

    Remove the CCM bracket.

    1. 1.

      Remove the CCM bracket nut.

      Torque

      : 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

    1. 2.

      Remove the CCM bracket bolt.

      Torque

      : 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

    1. 3.

      Slide the CCM bracket out of the front bumper slot.
