ISSUE
Some 2010-2011 Milan, 2010-2012 Fusion and MKZ vehicles built on or before 6/7/2011 may exhibit a loose moulding end at the base of the rear window glass.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Inspect the moulding ends at the lower edge of the rear window glass.
a. If either end of the moulding is loose, proceed to Step 2.
b. If the moulding is damaged or missing, replace the rear window glass. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-11.
2. Open the luggage compartment lid and remove moulding from the rear window glass.

3. Clean the glass and moulding with Motorcraft Ultra-Clear Spray Glass Cleaner. (Figure 1)

4. Starting 1/2" (13 mm) from side edge of glass, apply a small bead of Motorcraft(R) Clear Silicone Rubber Adhesive approximately 3/16" (4 mm) diameter between bottom edge of glass and sheet metal about 5" (127 mm) long. (Figure 2)
5. Center moulding along bottom edge of rear window glass. Starting at one end and working to other, press the moulding onto the glass.
a. Moulding ends should not extend beyond glass corner.
b. Follow Motorcraft Clear Silicone Rubber adhesive curing directions. Inadequate or incorrect curing of the adhesive will adversely affect rear window glass moulding retention. Failure to follow the adhesive curing directions may cause a repeat loose molding.
