Safety Belt Retractor and Pretensioner: Installation
2009 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited, 4.6 VSECTION Installation
- Position the front safety belt retractor and pretensioner.
- Install the bolt.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Connect the electrical connector.
NOTE:
Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
WARNING:
Always tighten the fasteners of the restraints control module (RCM) and impact sensor (if equipped) to the specified torque. Failure to do so may result in incorrect restraint system operation, which increases the risk of personal injury or death in a crash.
