Instrument Panel
2009 Lincoln Navigator L RWDSECTION Instrument Panel
All vehicles
- If equipped with adjustable pedals, move the pedals to the full forward position.
- If equipped, remove the front floor console. For additional information, refer to CONSOLE - FRONT, FLOOR, NAVIGATOR & NAVIGATOR L or CONSOLE - FRONT, FLOOR, EXPEDITION & EXPEDITION EL .
- Remove the steering wheel. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN article.
- If equipped, remove the RH instrument panel insulator.
- Disconnect the instrument panel insulator lamp.
- Remove the LH and RH lower cowl trim panels.
- Remove the scuff plate.
- Remove the lower cowl trim panel.
- Position the LH and RH door weatherstrip seals aside.
- Remove the LH and RH A-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to

article.
Navigator & Navigator L only
- Remove the steering column opening trim panel.
- Remove the screws.
- Release the trim panel from the instrument panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.
- Position the hood release and parking brake release handles aside.
- Remove the screws.
- Position the release handles aside.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
Expedition & Expedition EL only
- Remove the steering column opening trim panel.
- Remove the screws.
- Release the trim panel from the instrument panel.
- Remove the hood release handle bolt and position aside.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Remove the instrument panel lower cover.
- Remove the bolt from the parking brake handle and position aside.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
