Fuel Level Sensor: Removal

2005 Lincoln LS 3.0 SSECTION Removal

WARNING: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  1. Remove the fuel pump module. For additional information, refer to Fuel Pump ModuleΒ  .
  2. NOTE: Note the routing of the fuel level sensor wire for installation.
  3. Unwrap the fuel level sensor wire from the rest of the fuel pump module wire harness.

  5. Remove the heat shrink tube covering the electrical connector.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
