SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Check that the engine switch is off.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
(c) Install the center airbag sensor assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.

Torque : 18 Nm (178 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
* If the center airbag sensor assembly has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
* When installing the center airbag sensor assembly, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is not pinched between other parts.
* When the engine switch is first turned on (IG) after the center airbag sensor assembly has been replaced, make sure that no one is in the vehicle.
(d) Connect the connectors to the center airbag sensor assembly as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
(e) Check that the waterproof sheet is properly set.
(f) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the center airbag sensor assembly.

9. INSTALL UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission) Installation
10. INSTALL UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission) Installation
11. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Installation
12. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Installation
13. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) Installation
14. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Installation
15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
16. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
17. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
