Only Rear Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade: Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CURTAIN SWITCH - REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH)

- Disconnect the r3 curtain switch connector.
- Disconnect the r1 rear power seat switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition r3-8 (SW1) - r1-20 (SW1) Always Below 1 Ω r3-15 (GND) - r1-5 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω r3-8 (SW1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher r3-15 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Temporarily replace the curtain switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Check that the rear sunshade can be raised and lowered by using the curtain switch assembly.
