Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate: Procedure

2010 Lexus LS 460L AWDSECTION Procedure
  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.
      RESULT:

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      CAN system DTC is output B
      Airbag system DTC is output C

    C → See step   6 

    B → See step   5 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Operate the Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test". Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .
      COMBINATION METER:

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range
      Driver Side Seat Belt* Driver side seat belt warning light ON or OFF

      HINT: 

      *: Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling.

      OK

      Driver side seat belt warning light condition can be switched by "Active Test".

    NG → See step   7 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Temporarily replace the front seat inner belt LH with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the driver side seat belt warning light function. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .

      OK

      Driver side seat belt warning light operates normally.

    NG → See step   8 

    OK → END (FRONT SEAT INNER BELT LH IS DEFECTIVE) 

  5. Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM 
  6. Go to AIRBAG SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 
  7. REPLACE NO. 1 METER ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  8. REPLACE NO. 1 METER ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL
