DTC B15DA: Rear Console Recognition Disconnected: Procedure

2010 Lexus LS 460L AWDSECTION Procedure
  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Optional components (including associated wiring) are installed. A
      Optional components (including associated wiring) are not installed. B

      HINT: 

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    A: Go to next step 

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer toDTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → END 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the S15*1 or r2*2 rear power seat switch connector.

      • *1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the S15*1 or r2*2 rear power seat switch connector.
      • *1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
      • *2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
    2. Disconnect the R66 multi-media interface ECU.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      S15-10 (MPX+) - R66-4 (TX2+) Always Below 1 Ω
      S15-11 (MPX-) - R66-5 (TX2-) Always Below 1 Ω
      S15-10 (MPX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      S15-11 (MPX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  6. REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH 
    1. w/ Ottoman

      Temporarily replace the rear power seat switch with a new or normally functioning one. Refer toREMOVAL .

      w/o Ottoman

      Temporarily replace the rear power seat switch with a new or normally functioning one. Refer toREMOVAL .

    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer toDTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → END 

  7. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to REMOVAL
