Network Gateway Ecu: Removal

2007 Lexus ES 350SECTION Removal
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment (See AIRBAG SYSTEM ).
  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  5. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL RH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and the bolt and disengage the certification ECU with instrument panel wire.

    2. Turn the certification ECU with instrument panel wire in the direction indicated by the arrow.
      NOTE: Do not apply excessive force.
