Console Box Light: Inspection

2007 Lexus ES 350SECTION Inspection
  1. INSPECT CONSOLE BOX ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the F1 console box illumination light assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F1-2 - F1-1 Light control switch in TAIL 10 to 14 V
      J46-2 - J46-1 Light control switch OFF Below 1 V

      If the result is not as specified, there is a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the console box illumination light assembly connector.
    4. Check that the console box illumination light comes on.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
      Console box illumination light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the console box illumination light assembly.
