Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUBASSEMBLY RH

a. Remove the screw, and then open the front fender splash shield sub-assembly RH.
3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

a. Remove the clip and 2 bolts, and then remove the front fender apron seal RH.
4. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

a. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
b. Remove the bolt, and then remove the crankshaft position sensor.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
a. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring on the crankshaft position sensor.

b. Install the crankshaft position sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 8.0 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
c. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
2. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

a. Install the front fender apron seal RH with the clip and 2 bolts.
3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUBASSEMBLY RH

a. Install the front fender splash shield sub-assembly RH with the screw.
4. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1
1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUBASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the screw, and then open the front fender splash shield sub-assembly RH.
3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
a. Remove the clip and 2 bolts, and then remove the front fender apron seal RH.
4. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
a. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
b. Remove the bolt, and then remove the crankshaft position sensor.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
a. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring on the crankshaft position sensor.
b. Install the crankshaft position sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 8.0 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
c. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
2. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
a. Install the front fender apron seal RH with the clip and 2 bolts.
3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUBASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the front fender splash shield sub-assembly RH with the screw.
4. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1
