REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2
5. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
a. Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps.
b. Disconnect the 6 connectors from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

c. Remove the 2 nuts and hybrid vehicle control ECU.
7. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO.1

a. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket No.1.
8. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO.2

a. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket No.2.
9. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

a. Remove the 2 screws and wire harness clamp bracket.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET
a. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the 2 screws.
2. INSTALL ECM BRACKET NO.2
a. Install the ECM bracket No.2 with the 2 screws.
3. INSTALL ECM BRACKET NO.1
a. Install the ECM bracket No.1 with the 2 screws.
4. INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
a. Install the hybrid vehicle control ECU with the 2nuts.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
b. Connect the 6 connectors to the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
c. Connect the 3 wire harness clamps.
5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2
7. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
10. INITIALIZE OF CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM
HINT: After replacing the hybrid vehicle control ECU, have the new hybrid vehicle control ECU recognize that the vehicle is equipped with the laser control system.
a. Adjust the laser beam axis
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Push the cruise control main switch button on.
3. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3, and turn the power on.

4. Operate by following the screen menu and select "BEAM AXIS ADJUST" of "LASER CRUISE", then press the "ENTER" key.
HINT:
- Pressing the "ENTER" key will make the ECM transfer to BEAM AXIS ADJUSTMENT MODE.
- The buzzer sounds for 1 second after transfer.

5. Confirm the current value of the laser beam.(the default reading is 6.3 degrees when the reflector position is out of range.)
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Some systems need initialization when reconnecting the battery cable.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2
5. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
a. Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps.
b. Disconnect the 6 connectors from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
c. Remove the 2 nuts and hybrid vehicle control ECU.
7. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO.1
a. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket No.1.
8. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO.2
a. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket No.2.
9. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET
a. Remove the 2 screws and wire harness clamp bracket.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET
a. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the 2 screws.
2. INSTALL ECM BRACKET NO.2
a. Install the ECM bracket No.2 with the 2 screws.
3. INSTALL ECM BRACKET NO.1
a. Install the ECM bracket No.1 with the 2 screws.
4. INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
a. Install the hybrid vehicle control ECU with the 2nuts.

10. INITIALIZE OF CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM
