2005 Lexus ES 330SECTION Inspection Procedure
  1. CHECK THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the theft warning ECU assy connector.
    2. Check the voltage between the theft warning ECU assy connector and body ground, as shown in the illustration and table.

    Standard: 

    TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Symbols (Terminal No.) Specified condition
    SH (T6-24) <=> Body ground 10 - 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK 

  2. INSPECT SECURITY HORN ASSY 
    1. Connect the positive (+) lead to terminal 1 of the theft deterrent horn connector and negative (-) lead to body ground.

    Standard: Security horn blows

    NG: REPLACE SECURITY HORN ASSY 

    OK 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY - SECURITY HORN ASSY) 
    1. Disconnect the theft warning ECU assy and security horn connectors.
    2. Check the continuity between the theft warning ECU assy connector and theft deterrent horn connector, as shown in the illustration and table.

    Standard: 

    TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Symbols (Terminal No.) (Theft warning ECU <=> Horn) Specified condition
    SH- (T6-25) <=> (T1-1) Continuity
