Knock Sensor: Inspection
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER
- REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY FROM INTAKE MANIFOLDS (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE UPPER AND LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLDS ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- INSPECT KNOCK SENSOR 1, 2
- Disconnect the knock sensor connectors.
- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between the terminal and body.

If there is a continuity, replace the sensor with SST.
- SST 09816-30010
- Torque: 45 N.m (450 kgf.cm, 33 ft.lbf)
- Reconnect the knock sensor connectors.
- REINSTALL UPPER AND LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLDS ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- REINSTALL THROTTLE BODY TO INTAKE MANIFOLDS (See INSPECTION )
- REINSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR
- REINSTALL V-BANK COVER
