Activating System (1997 2.2CL, 3.0CL, 3.5RL, 2.5TL & 3.2TL)
1998 Lexus SC 300SECTION Activating System (1997 2.2CL, 3.0CL, 3.5RL, 2.5TL & 3.2TL)
- Ensure ignition is OFF and both battery cables are disconnected. Connect 2-pin driver-side air bag connector.
- Connect 2-pin passenger-side air bag connector. On 3.5RL, connect 2-pin seat belt pretensioner connectors. On all models, reconnect battery cables. Check SRS indicator light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECKΒ . Reset radio frequencies.
NOTE:
On 3.5RL, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) memory MUST be reset after disconnecting the battery. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
