  1. Test drive and check speedometer operation. If speedometer works, go to step Β 2. If speedometer does not work, disconnect instrument panel connector "A". Raise and support vehicle. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between connector "A" terminal No. 13 (Blue/Red wire) and No. 10 (Blue/Black wire). See Figure. Voltage should vary between zero volts and 5 volts while rotating driveshaft. If voltage is as specified, replace circuit plate and retest. If voltage is not as specified, check ABS ECU. See appropriate ANTI LOCK BRAKES article in BRAKES section. Repair as necessary. If ABS ECU is okay, repair wiring between ABS ECU and instrument panel. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ .
  2. Remove instrument panel. Disconnect instrument panel connector "A". Using jumper wires, connect connector "A" terminal No. 2 (Yellow wire), No. 13 (Blue/Red wire) and No. 23 (White/Black wire) to instrument panel terminals. Raise and support vehicle. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between connector "A" terminal No. 13 and 23. Voltage should vary between zero volts and 5 volts while rotating driveshaft. If voltage is not as specified, replace circuit plate and retest. If voltage is as specified, replace trip meter and retest.
