Oil Pan: Removal
1996 Lexus SC 400SECTION Removal
- Remove engine. See ENGINE. Remove dipstick, bolt, dipstick tube and "O" ring. Remove bolts, oil level sensor and gasket.
- Remove No. 2 oil pan bolts/nuts. See Figure. Install Seal Cutter (SST 09032-00100) between No. 1 and 2 oil pans. Carefully tap seal cutter around No. 2 oil pan and loosen seal. DO NOT damage sealing surfaces. Remove No. 2 oil pan.
- Remove bolts/nuts and baffle plate. Note location of No. 1 oil pan bolts/nuts. Remove bolts/nuts and No. 1 oil pan. Remove pick-up tube and gasket.
