Disabling System (Miata, MPV, MX-6 & 626)
Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Wait at least 10 minutes for back-up power supply to be depleted. Remove cover panel below left side of instrument panel. Disconnect Orange and Blue clockspring connectors for driver air bag. See Figure or Figure . Remove glove box. Disconnect Orange and Blue passenger air bag module connectors (if equipped). See Figure.

When to See a Mechanic
