Repair Procedures: Installation

2021 Kia Sedona EXSECTION Installation

Install the Main Power Cable into Gear console box. 

  1. Remove the Crash pad lower panel.
    1. Separate the rubber molding and C/Pad side cover[LH] as picture.

    2. Remove 3ea screws on the C/Pad lower panel.

    3. Remove 1ea screw on the C/Pad lower panel.

    4. Remove the C/Pad lower panel.

  2. Remove the Remove the Gear box.
    1. Pull the Gear lever head.

    3. Disconnect all connectors under the gear shift cover.

    CAUTION:
    • Be careful not to scratch the near parts.
    • Be careful not to damage the Gear Shift lever cover.
  3. Remove the lower panel.
    1. Remove 1ea screw on the center fascia lower panel.

    3. Disconnect the all connectors and remove the lower panel.

    CAUTION:
    • Be careful not to scratch the near parts.
    • Be careful not to damage the lower panel.
  4. Install the Aux Switch Box.
    1. Remove 1ea nut inside of the C/Pad by T handle. (10mm)

    2. Install the Aux box and fasten the nut.

    3. After install the AUX box and cable, connect the cables.

      - Original Multibox Aux → (a) connector

      - (b) connector → Car Multibox

      - connector → Main Power Cable

    CAUTION:
    • Be careful not to scratch the near parts.
    • Be careful not to damage the lower panel.
  5. Remove Rear console.
    1. Remove 2 bolt on console box.

    2. Disconnect 2 connectors as picture.

    3. Remove screws on each side of the console box as picture.

      - Using a Corner Driver

      CAUTION:
      • Be careful not to lose the screw cover.
    4. Remove the console cup hold mat.

    5. Remove 2ea screws on the cup holder.

    6. Open the screw cover on the rear console.

    7. Remove 1ea screw on the rear console. (10mm)

Install the Main Power Cable to The Fuse box 

  1. Plug the Main Cable to The Fuse box.
    1. Unplug the fuse(20A) on the Fuse box.
    2. Plug the fuse into the Main cable connector.

    3. Plug the main cable to the Fuse box.

      - ACC : Plug the [MODULE 1] Fuse

      - BAT : Plug the [SPARE 4] Fuse

    4. Ground to metal parts in the fuse box.

Install the Main Power Cable into Gear console box 

  1. Install the Main power cable.
    1. Open the Fuse box cover.
    2. Install the Main Power cable (Fuse box to Console) into the bottom of the car mat.

    3. Install the Main Power cable (Fuse box to Console) into the Gear console box.

Install the Jump Cable (Y) under the gear console box 

  1. Connect the Cable (Main Power cable Jump Cable (Y))
    1. Jump Cable.

    4. Remove rear duct cover(under the seat) by using corner driver (or shorty driver)

Install the RSE Monitor 

  1. Remove the seat back cover.
    1. Remove the seat back cover as shown as picture.
    2. Remove the seat cushion hooks. And roll the seat cushion (1).

    3. Remove the seat cushion hooks. And roll the seat cushion (1).

  2. Install the Monitor Bracket.
    1. Install the [ Hole JIG ] and Use the punching drill to Check the hole position.

    2. Make the 3 holes on seat by using drill.

    3. Install the Monitor Bracket.

      - Bolts and nuts are included in the KIT.

  3. Install the Monitor main cable. (In the seat back side)
    1. Install the Monitor main cable on the bracket as shown.

      - Fix the cable to the bracket with clip on the cable.

    2. Install the Monitor cable Inside the seat cushion.

      - Fix the cable to the seat frame with clip on the cable.

  4. Install the Monitor Power cable. (Under the seat)
    1. Cover the seat cushion with hook.

    3. Tie the Monitor Main cable with seat cable. (Refer to Picture : Point 1)

Install the RSE Monitor (Install the Ext. Cable) 

  1. Install the Ext. Cable under the carpet.
    1. Install the Ext. cable as shown.

      - Pull out the Ext. cable from the Hole (A).

    2. Put the Ext. cable into the Hole (B).

      - Hole (B) is the seat cable hole.

    3. Connect the Ext. cable to RSE Monitor Power cable connector under the seat.

      - Never Connect the Ext. Cable from Hole (A).

Install the RSE Monitor 

  1. Install the RSE Monitor
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Install the RSE Monitor.

      - Fasten the screws(4EA)

Install the DVD Player 

  1. Remove the console box.
    1. Remove the 6 left/right screw covers.

    3. Remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the console.

    4. Separate the floor console cover as picture.

  2. Install the DVD BRK'T.
    1. Drill the hole by using 33mm hole saw as picture.

    2. Install the DVD BRKT.

      - Install the 4 screws.

    3. Insert the DVD_MAIN CABLE_P(left), DVD_MAIN CABLE_Y(right) and Connect the 3 connector to DVD Player as picture.

    4. After connecting the cable, install the DVD BRKT and 4 screws, 4 pads.

Install the console box 

  1. Connect the Main power jump cable.
    1. Install the DVD Player as picture.

    2. Connect the Main cable to 2 Monitor and DVD POWER cable.

    3. Reinstall the console box and the seat section

Test the RSE System 

  1. Cable wiring appearance.
