Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Open or short to ground in valve relay circuit
  • Low voltage on valve relay
  • Faulty ESC
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • No related DTC is stored
Threshold Value
  • If the valve relay is switched on and valve relay voltage is lower than 4.5 to 5.5V continuously for 60ms
  • A failure is detected if the voltage difference between power side and load side of valve relay is greater than 0.85 to 1.15V for more than 60ms
  • If the valve relay is switched off and valve relay voltage is higher than 5.5 to 6.5V or valve relay voltage is lower than 2 to 3V continuously for 60ms
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
Warning Lamp
  • EBD/ESC/DBC/AVH warning lamp "ON"
