DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

2020 Kia Soul LX, Standard TransSECTION DTC Detecting Condition
Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Hardware monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty brake switch circuit
  • Faulty brake switch
  • Faulty ESC
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • No related DTC is stored
Threshold Value Case1
  • When the ESC can't erase or write a data of the EEPROM
  • If the master/slave processor detects abnormal operation in RAM, ROM, interrupt, timer, A/D converter and cycle time
  • A failure is detected if the communication error between internal components is detected
  • A failure is detected if the internal components are not initialized properly
Case2
  • When the motor driving the current size difference, between both current sensors (Main & Sub), is bigger than 5A and it last over than 200ms
  • If the current size of main current sensor is bigger than absolute value -2A to 2A for 200ms when motor is not driving
  • If the MTP voltage is lower than 2V for 200ms when sub kill line is active
  • If the MTP voltage is lower than 2V for 200ms when main drive FET is active
  • When EPB power voltage is smaller than 4V and it last over than 150ms
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
Warning Lamp Case1
  • EBD/ESC/DBC/AVH/EPB warning lamp "ON"
Case2
  • AVH/EPB warning lamp "ON"
RENDER: 1.0x
