DTC C1702-62: Variant Coding Error: General Description
The Multi Function Camera (MFC) is a mechanism designed to warn a driver when the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane (unless a turn signal is on in that direction) on freeways and arterial roads. MFC uses video camera module and it detects the road markings ahead and warning the driver if there is a danger of a lane marking being crossed without the turn signal having been activated.
MFC has limited lane recognition capabilities when it comes to sharp-bending roads, no or faded lane markings, low visibility due to foul weather conditions, low light or sudden change in exterior light condition, sidewalks and other dividing structures along the edge of the lane, or dirty windshield but not only limited to these conditions.
