Inspection Condition Inspection Procedure Reference
  1. Ignition "ON".
  1. Connect KDS to "Data Link Connector (DLC)".
  2. Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" with KDS.

Active Fault 

  • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or control module's connector or was repaired and control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
  • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "System Inspection " procedure.
  • If the DTC is erased, check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace SCC and then go to "System Inspection " procedure.

    * In a case of replacing SCC module, require to set the "Variant Coding" by KDS.

History/Pending Fault 

  • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or control module's connector or was repaired and control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
  • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
