Repair Procedures: Removal

2017 Kia Rio EX, 4D HatchbackSECTION Removal

  1. Move the shift lever to neutral gear position.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to "REPAIR PROCEDURES

  3. Remove the Battery and Battery Tray.

    (Refer to "REMOVAL, BATTERY/TRAY ")

  4. Remove the control cable (B) from the control shaft after removing the pins (A).

  5. Remove the control shaft complete (A).

    Tightening Torque:Β 

    19.6-26.5 N.m (2.0-2.7 kgf.m, 14.5-19.5 lb-ft)
