GDS Data Analysis

2015 Kia Optima SXSECTION GDS Data Analysis

■ DTC Inspection 

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. Connect GDS
  3. IG "ON" and engine "OFF".
  4. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  5. Check for any DTCs on the "Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)" with GDS.
  6. Erase DTC.

  8. After erase DTC Check for any DTCs again.
  9. Is the same DTC occurred again?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or SJB's connector or was repaired and SJB memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR  procedure.
  • ■ "Actuation Test" 
    1. IG "ON" & ENG "OFF".
    2. Select "Actuation Test" mode
    3. Perform "Turn Right Signal" in the "Actuation Test" with GDS and check for proper operation.
