General Information: General Description
The PCM monitors the pressure stability in the fuel tank by measuring signal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS), for a predetermined duration just before starting of the leakage monitor to detect noise signal of the pressure sensor. If the pressure fluctuation is bigger than the predetermined threshold value, the PCM sets DTC P0454.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
