AVN Head Unit Replacement

2015 Kia Optima SX TurboSECTION AVN Head Unit Replacement
CAUTION:
  • When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  1. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad side cover (A).

  2. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the crash pad lower panel (A).

  3. Disconnect the crash pad lower switch connectors (A), diagnosis connector (B), crash pad under lamp connector (C).

  4. Disconnect the start/stop button connector (D).

  5. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the crash pad garnish [LH] (A).

  6. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad garnish [RH] (A).

  7. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the cluster fascia panel (A).

  8. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the heater control unit (A).

  9. Disconnect the connectors (A) and hose (B).

  10. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the center fascia upper panel (A).

  11. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the AVN head unit (A).

  12. Disconnect the connectors.

  14. Installation is the reverse of removal.
NOTE:
  • Make sure the connectors are connected in properly.
  • Replace any damaged clips.
