Power Circuit Inspection
2015 Kia Optima LXSECTION Power Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect Brake Lamp Relay connector.
- IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
- Measure voltage between power terminal of brake lamp relay harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. B+
- Is the measured value within specifications?
YES
- Go to COMPONENT INSPECTION procedure.
NO
- Check for blown fuse and replace as necessary. If fuse is okay, repair open or short in power circuit between battery and ESS Brake Lamp Relay harness connector and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR procedure.
