Signal Circuit Inspection
2015 Kia Optima Hybrid EXSECTION Signal Circuit Inspection
- Lift vehicle with suitable lift and refer to WHEEL Service Information to remove wheel and wheel guard.
- Ignition "ON" & ENG "OFF".
- Gear position "N" range.
- Rotate the disc slowly by hands.
- Back probe and measure signal waveform between Pin No. 2 (Signal) terminal of WSS (RL) and chassis ground with GDS.

YES
- Fault might be intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECU's connector or was repaired and ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to Next step procedure.
- IG "OFF" & Disconnect WSS (RL) connector.
- Disconnect IBAU connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (signal) of WSS (RL) connector and Pin No. 27 (signal) of IBAU connector.
Specification : Approx. 1Ω
- Is the measured value within specifications?
YES
- Go to "SYSTEM INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
