Component Inspection

2015 Kia Forte5 SX, Standard TransSECTION Component Inspection
  • Check Injector Performance 
    1. IG KEY "OFF".
    2. Connect CH A probe to control terminal of Injector (High side) and CH B probe to control terminal of Injector (Low side).
    3. Connect CH AUX probe to control wire of Injector.
    4. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.

      Specification:  Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA

      CH. A - Injector high Max 65.3V

      CH. B - Injector Low Max 65.3V

      CH. AUX - Injector Current MAX 9.12A

  • Perform Injector 
    1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
    2. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF".
    3. Perform "Actuation Test"  for Injector.

  • Confirm Part Inspection 
    1. Does the Injector operate properly? (Check variation)

      YES 

      NO 

      • Substitute with a known-good Injector and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Injector and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
