Signal Circuit Inspection
2015 Kia Forte5 SX, Standard TransSECTION Signal Circuit Inspection
- Open Or Short Circuit Check
- IG "OFF".
- Disconnect the back up lamp switch.
- Measure resistance between reverse (back up lamp) signal terminal of the back up lamp switch harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Below 1Ω
- IG "OFF".
- Disconnect the back up lamp switch connector.
- IG "ON".
- Measure voltage between signal terminal of back up lamp switch harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 0V
- Are the measured values within specifications?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in reverse (back up lamp) signal circuit and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
