Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage Monitoring
  1. Power Circuit Open/Short
  2. Blown Fuse
  3. Defective HECU
Threshold Value Case 1 (Solenoid Valve Actuating Monitoring)
  • Monitoring solenoid valve electrical fault, pump motor relay and pump motor
    • Short in each solenoid valve line by operating each solenoid valve and pump motor one by one
    • Monitoring Period: Detects 1 time after Ignition "ON" and vehicle speed of 30 km/h (Approx. 18.6 mph)
Case 2 (Motor Relay Open/Motor Short to GND)
  • Motor supply voltage is less than 7.0V for more than 300 msec.
Case 3 (Motor Open/Short to GND)
  • Motor operation voltage does not reach 3.0V 80msec after motor replay operation or Motor operation voltage is 4V less than ignition voltage
Case 4 (Motor Lock)
  • Motor operation voltage is higher than 3.0 V for more than 2.5 sec.
  • Motor duty low level is less than 40 msec for 3 times
Warning Indicator Lamp Status
  • ABS/ESC (ESP) Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition
  • In case of 3 and 4
    • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON" and Vehicle reference speed over 30 km/h (Approx. 19 mph)
  • In case of 1 and 2
    • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
