Ignition "ON".
Back probe and measure voltage between Pin No. 1 (Power) terminal and Pin No. 2 (Ground) terminal of brake lamp switch.
Operate brake pedal.
Specification: On Brake pedal not pressed: Approx. 12V/On Brake pedal pressed: Approx. 0V
Is the measured value within specifications?
YES
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  CAUTION:
  In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures.
  1. "ASP Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction
  2. "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" for longitudinal sensor offset correction.
  3. "Auto Detected Configuration Reset (ESP (ESC) Only)

- If problem still occurs, replace Brake Lamp Switch and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
