Signal Circuit Inspection

2014 Kia Soul Base, Standard TransSECTION Signal Circuit Inspection
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  3. Ignition "ON".
  4. Measure signal waveform between Pin No. 9 (Local CAN High) terminal of SRS Control Module harness connector and chassis ground.
  5. Measure signal waveform between Pin No. 21 (Local CAN Low) terminal of SRS Control Module harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:Β  Local CAN High: Max. Approx. 4V/Min. Approx. 2.5V

    Local CAN Low: Max. Approx. 2.6V/Min. Approx. 1.2V

  6. Is measure value within specification?

    YESΒ 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace SRS Control Module and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
    CAUTION: In case of replacing SRS Control Module, perform following procedures.
    1. "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" for longitudinal sensor offset correction.
