Control Circuit Inspection

Check for short to ground in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect injector connector and PCM connector.
2. Measure resistance between terminal 2 of injector harness connector and chassis ground.
  1. Specification: Infinite

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Go to " 2 Check for open in harness" as follows.
  NO
  - Repair short to ground in harness, then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Check for open in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect injector connector and PCM connector.
2. Measure resistance between terminal 2 of injector harness connector and 72 of PCM harness connector.
  1. Specification: Below 1Ω

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  - Repair open in harness, then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
