General Information: General Description
The CVVT system uses engine oil pressure to operate. Since engine oil changes density in correlation to temperature, the Oil Temperature Sensor (OTS) helps to compensate for oil temperature differences by measuring engine oil temperature before the engine oil reaches the Oil-flow Control Valve (OCV), and then controlling the OCV operation time according to the measured temperature of the engine oil.

When to See a Mechanic
